Policy, Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Hard Headz! We are a private, appointment-only tattoo studio dedicated to providing a safe, professional, and comfortable environment. Please carefully read the following Studio Policies and Terms & Conditions before booking an appointment.

STUDIO POLICIES

APPOINTMENTS & BOOKING

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to secure all appointments. This deposit will be applied to your final session.

  • If you need to reschedule due to an emergency, severe weather, or illness, please contact me prior to your appointment to transfer your deposit to a new date.

  • Late arrivals of 15 minutes will receive a message from me. If you are 30 minutes late without contacting me, it will be considered a no-call, no-show, and your deposit will be forfeited. A new $50 deposit will be required to rebook.

  • Please ensure you have reliable transportation to and from your appointment.

STUDIO ETIQUETTE

  • This is a private studio, not a walk-in shop. Only clients with scheduled appointments will be allowed entry.

  • a +1 guest is allowed, no more than 1, unless previously approved.

  • No drugs or alcohol for at least 12-24 hours before your appointment.

  • Do not apply lotion to the tattoo area 12 hours prior to your appointment.

  • Any lidocaine 5% or higher must be approved by the artist before use.

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure two weeks before your appointment (no sunburns!).

CONSULTATION & DESIGN PROCESS

  • Be specific during your consultation! Provide details about what you like and do not want in your design.

  • If you have existing tattoos, send a picture of the placement area so I can design around them for the best fit.

  • Open communication is key—don’t hesitate to ask questions or voice concerns!

TATTOO DESIGN & PRICING

  • Custom designs are created based on consultations and will not be shared before your appointment.

  • Prices vary based on design complexity, size, and placement. Certain areas have extra costs. Please refer to my booking policy for pricing menu options.

  • I will not tattoo symbols of hate or any tattoos that promote hate speech in any way.

HEALTH & SAFETY

  • If you are feeling sick or unwell, please reschedule your appointment.

  • We follow strict sanitation and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment.

  • If you have allergies to metals/minerals, moles, or asymmetrical skin patches, consult a doctor before booking.

  • If you are pregnant, may be pregnant or breastfeeding, you cannot get tattooed.

    • For clients who have recently given birth, we require a waiting period of at least 3 to 6 months postpartum to ensure proper healing and minimize any health risks. If breastfeeding, clients are encouraged to consult with a healthcare provider before scheduling a tattoo.

  • You must be 18 years or older to get tattooed in the state of Minnesota.

TATTOO AFTERCARE & TOUCH-UPS

  • Tattoos can heal in unpredictable ways— give your skin two weeks before reaching out about touch-ups to allow for full healing.

  • If you are unhappy with how your tattoo turned out, we can always adjust or add to it later!

PAYMENT & REFUNDS

  • Deposits and payments are non-refundable.

  • Touch-ups are available at the artist’s discretion within 6 months of the original appointment.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

  • I reserve the right to refuse service for any reason, including but not limited to inappropriate behavior, poor hygiene, being under the influence, or unrealistic expectations.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

LIABILITY WAIVER

By booking an appointment and receiving a tattoo at Hard Headz, the client:

  1. Acknowledges that tattooing is a permanent procedure that carries risks of infection, allergic reactions, and other potential side effects.

  2. Confirms that they have voluntarily chosen to receive a tattoo and understand the risks involved.

  3. Agrees to follow all aftercare instructions provided by the artist.

  4. Releases Hard Headz and its artists from any liability, claims, or damages resulting from the tattoo process, including but not limited to allergic reactions, infections, dissatisfaction with design placement, or other complications.

PHOTO RELEASE

  • The client grants permission for the artist to take and share photographs/videos of the completed tattoo for portfolio, social media, and promotional use.

  • If a client wishes to opt out, they must notify the artist before the tattoo session.

Sexual Harassment Policy

/ Consent for Genital Tattooing

​

Our tattoo shop is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and professional environment for both clients and staff. We have a strict zero-tolerance policy for any form of sexual harassment, including inappropriate comments, advances, or behavior. This policy also applies to clients requesting tattoos on or near genital areas, where professionalism and clear boundaries are paramount. We recognize that some individuals may have interests related to humiliation or degrading kinks; however, our shop operates solely as a professional tattoo establishment. Any attempt to engage in such behavior within our workspace is strictly prohibited. All interactions must remain respectful and professional, regardless of personal preferences or interests.

 Zero Tolerance for Sexual Harassment

Our tattoo shop maintains a zero-tolerance policy for any form of sexual harassment. This includes but is not limited to:
  • Unwelcome sexual advances or comments

  • Inappropriate or suggestive language or behavior

  • Unwanted touching or physical contact

  • Any actions that make our staff or clients feel uncomfortable or unsafe

 

 Genital Tattooing
We understand that genital tattooing is a personal choice and requires the utmost professionalism and respect.

In the event that a client requests a tattoo on or near the genital area:
  • The procedure will be conducted with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.

  • Any inappropriate behavior, comments, or advances toward the tattoo artist will result in the immediate termination of the session.

  • The client must provide written consent, acknowledging their understanding of the procedure and the professional boundaries required.

  • Deposit is required prior to communication to secure your date and drawing, all inquiries with no deposit will be labeled as spam and deleted.

  • upfront payment is required prior to session

 Consequences of Violating the Policy

Any client or staff member found to be in violation of this policy will face the following consequences:
  • Immediate termination of the tattoo session or service.

  • A permanent ban from booking any future appointments at our shop.

  • In cases of severe misconduct, legal action may be pursued.

 Reporting and Resolution


All reports of sexual harassment will be taken seriously and handled with confidentiality. Clients and staff are encouraged to report any incidents to management immediately for prompt investigation and resolution.

NO MODIFICATIONS OR ALTERATIONS BY OTHER ARTISTS

  • The client agrees not to modify, retouch, or have another artist alter the tattoo within the first healing period without consulting me.

DISPUTES & AGREEMENT TO TERMS

  • By scheduling and receiving a tattoo at Hard Headz, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these policies and terms.

  • Signing this policy states that you understand that you have communicated everything to the artist and accept the terms and agreements.

  • Anything said or done during the appointment cannot be used against the artist in a derogatory way, either in person or online. Any defamation will be subject to legal action.

  • Any disputes will be handled in accordance with local/state laws.
